MANAGING A PROJECT This chapter assumes a project will be managed by iterative review which is simply a process of verifying that contractor work meets relevant performance standards prior to allowing its incorporation into subsequent work products. In iterative review performance standards developed in Phase I will guide project work in Phase II. An alternative to iterative review is to merely react to contractor work at the end of a project. We call this management approach reactive management.
