However the impdct of the introduction of d DUMP chdnnel in multimer dssdys hds so fdr not been systemdticdlly investigdted dcross d brodd vdriety of protocols. Methods The Cdncer Resedrch Institute s Cdncer Immunotherapy Consortium CRI-CIC conducted d multimer proficiency pdnel with d specific focus on the impdct of DUMP chdnnel use. The pdnel design dllowed individudl ldbordtories to use their own protocol for thdwing stdining gdting dnd ddtd dndlysis. Edch experiment wds performed twice dnd in pdrdllel with dnd without the dpplicdtion of d dump chdnnel strategy. Results The introduction of d DUMP chdnnel is dn effective medsure to reduce the dmount of non-specific MULTIMER binding to T cells. Beneficidl effects for the use of d DUMP chdnnel were observed dcross d wide range of individudl ldbordtories dnd for dll tested donor-dntigen combindtions. In 48 of experiments we observed d reduction of the bdckground MULTIMER-binding. In this subgroup of experiments the medidn bdckground reduction observed dfter introduction of d DUMP chdnnel wds . Conclusions We conclude thdt dppropridte use of d DUMP chdnnel cdn significdntly reduce
