The ASTER DEM has been used to delineate the changes of the relief of the Vegoritis lake basin. Ground waters cannot be observed directly by existing EO satellites however location orientation and length of lineaments can be derived from EO and can be used as input for studies of fractured aquifers . location of sites for water harvesting .
