Simulation results during start-up normal operation and heavy transients The control strategy of active stall constant speed wind turbine contains three modes of operation acceleration control speed control power control power limiting region and direct pitch control blade angle control . The acceleration and pitch control modes are used during start-up shut down and emergency conditions while the power control mode is only used during normal operations.
