The purpose of this book is to provide an overview of basic image fusion techniques and serve as an introduction to image fusion applications in variant fields. It is anticipated that it will be useful for research scientists to capture recent developments and to spark new ideas within the image fusion domain. With an emphasis on both the basic and advanced applications of image fusion, this 12-chapter book covers a number of unique concepts that have been graphically represented throughout to enhance readability, such as the wavelet-based image fusion introduced in chapter 2 and the 3D fusion that is proposed.
