The . National Science Foundation (NSF) has long collected information on the number and characteristics of individuals with education or employment in science and engineering and related fields in the United States. One of the three vehicles employed by NSF for collecting this information is the National Survey of College Graduates (NSCG). This survey is a key component in a group of three surveys of scientists and engineers conducted by the Division of Science Resources Statistics of NSF: the other two are the National Survey of Recent College Graduates (NSRCG) and the Survey of Doctorate Recipients (SDR)
