In one specification, we will use the average municipality wage as well as the average wage of those living in the urban part of the municipality as instruments for consumption. Their average value is two thirds of the minimum wage. This is not strange, as we do not expect our population to be strongly attached to the formal labor market. In other specifications, we will use binary indicators of whether or not the household owns a bike, motorbike or animals. Table 2 shows that most of the children live in households that owns animals (66%), while 36% own a bike.
