There are enormous differences in the opportunities children have both within and across coun- tries. These differences have important implications both for their current well-being and the extent to which they are equipped or prepared for the future. Our objective is to create aware- ness of the continent’s children, the groups that are prospering and those that are struggling to carve out a place in the world.
