This session will be an opportunity to reflect on how development cooperation actors can best hold each other to account for commitments made on gender equality, women’s rights and the empowerment of women at sub-national, sector, national, regional and global levels. As a structured series of conversations, this session will build on an evolving body of evidence that suggests that gender targets are needed, especially in light of the growing diversity of development partnerships, stressing a need for balanced development partnerships to promote compliance with commitments on quantity, quality and effectiveness of development cooperation and delivery of long-term,.
