A recent report 10 from mainland China concluded that HPV DNA testing is highly sensitive and moderately specific for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia 3 or worse (CIN3+; CIN3 is the usual immediate precursor to invasive cervical cancer), with consistent results across study sites and age groups.
