It is indeed an honor to write a Preface to the first Supplement to the Encyclopedia of Public Administration and Public Policy. I make this statement for two reasons. First, I continue to be more than pleased with the quality and depth of each topical entry. I thank our Contributing Editors and Topical Entry Authors from around the world. Second, I was told three years ago that the first Supplement probably would come out in 2007. Contributing Editor— and Topical Entry Author— productivity brought in the first Supplement two years earlier and, given that we have covered in the three printed volumes less than one-third of the topical.
