The book is based on interviews with managers working in countries other than their own, seminars and workshops I have conducted throughout Europe and the US, web-based attitude surveys, and my own experience of 15 years with an American bank. It is not meant to be a book for scholars but for people who deal with cultural differences in their working day. I have excluded anything that the people I spoke to think is country chapters, for example, are not written to a is because in some countries aspects of history or geography or behavior are more relevant.
