A mainstreaming approach to gender and development, in which most operational staff bear some responsibility for integrating gender-responsive actions into their work, requires a clear under- standing of the individual responsibilities of staff occupying differ- ent positions. The gender mainstreaming responsibilities of key positions in the organization are shown in Table . Regional Vice Presidents will submit brief annual plans for gender mainstreaming (containing, for example, a list of countries planning to complete a CGA within that year); they will then submit a year-end report on fulfillment of these plans.
