Water is an invaluable resource for life on earth. Human intervention in nature has affected this resource drastically. Human activities are largely responsible for polluting rivers. Rivers are a very important source of water but they are treated as dumping grounds. This has led to a tremendous decline in the quality of human health and a widespread effect on the environmental conditions. Good maintenance of clean and unpolluted rivers as a source of water is essential for the health and survival of mankind. In this unit, the students role-play as environmentalists and they have been invited to be delegates.
