Most interviewees agree concerning the basic characteristics and traits for a project leader. These characteristics include: forward-looking; competent; inspiring; intelligent; enterprising spirit; loyalty; leadership motivation; integrity; self-confidence; and knowledgeable of the business. As identified by this group of experts, one of the important traits is the ability to communicate effectively. According to the previous survey, communication skills are the most important characteristic of leaders; communication skills are named first of 11 skills listed in the questionnaire. As affirmed by the survey and interview participants, successful leaders are great communicators. .
