The WCO will provide technical assistance to define and implement a long-term strategic plan for strengthening the HIS nationwide and secure funds and resources for its implementation. It will support the revision of the tools for data collection and flow in the HIS, the supportive supervision system and feedback mechanism, and will update yearly the Service Availability Mapping (SAM), among other approaches. Within the Financing priority pillar, WHO will support the promotion of evidence-based decision making at all levels of the health system, through enhanced capacity to generate and use financial information, as well as addressing financial barriers related to access to health, in order to reduce unnecessarily.
