We will continue to address the impacts of climate change in FY 2013. An increase of approximately $ million over the FY 2012 Enacted budget for climate protection will allow the Agency to support the full range of approaches to reducing GHGs and the risks its effects pose to human health and the environment and to property. This increase includes $ million for categorical grants for states and tribes. The economic costs of not addressing climate change could include reduced productivity through missed work and school days, increased hospital visits, respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, and even premature.
