We consider that the ESPON 2013 DB project is very similar to other priority 1 project in terms of scientific contents and political challenges. The problems that are submitted to the project ESPON 2013 DB are indeed related to advanced research of very high level in the scientific fields of Computer Science, Database design, cartography, GIS, territorial planning. It is therefore a great frustration for researcher involved in the project to have no KSS support, able to help us to improve our work. It is also related to difficult political questions, for example in the case of map generalisation.
