The
Louisiana
Bucket
Brigade
(LABB)
is
a

organization.
Its
mission
is
to
support
communities’
use
of
grassroots
action
to
achieve
sustainable
neighborhoods
free
from
industrial
pollution.
Tulane
University’s
Disaster
Resilience
Leadership
Academy
(DRLA)
was
also
involved
in
this
survey.
The
mission
of
DRLA
is
to
strengthen

In
June
2010,
Patagonia
Clothing
Company,
a
long‐time
donor
of
LABB,
approached
the
organization
about
ways
their
employees
could
volunteer
with
the
organization’s
oil
spill
response
efforts.
As
a
result,
Patagonia
sent
70
employee
volunteers
to
Louisiana
over
the
course
of
two
months
beginning
in
July
2010.
With
a
robust
labor
pool,
LABB
was
able
to
conduct
a
door‐to‐door
survey
across
seven
Southeast
Louisiana
areas
from
which
data
for
this
pilot
study
was
collected.
