Current poultry workers were recruited in a six-county area of western North Carolina, including Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Surry, Wilkes, and Yadkin Counties. This region has a total of five processing plants belonging to three different companies. To be eligible, a respondent had to be 18 years of age, currently employed as a worker in a poultry processing plant, and of Latino ethnicity.
