Service gauges play an important role in diagnosing faults on refrigerating equipment. Low suction pressure can be related to a number of faults. It is normally associated with restricted refrigerant flow to the evaporator, but in some cases it can be due to the improper setting of a temperature control. As well as maintaining a design temperature, it is vital that the correct humidity conditions are achieved for the type of product being stored. It is important that the temperature difference (TD) between the product being stored and the refrigerant is correct for that product.
