The new features of Systems Director make discovering systems on the network very simple. You can now enter a single hostname, single IP address or range of IP addresses, without having to understand the platform specifics for each system. While the task is being run by the management server, the discovery task provides visual feedback on the progress of the discovery, as well as displays the resources of the systems discovered. You can also navigate to and perform other tasks pertaining to each of these systems. Advanced system discovery Systems Director also includes a straightforward wizard to streamline advanced discovery settings for one or more system types.
