Underground cable installed after 1 January 2004 shall meet the requirements of AS/ACIF S008. Blown-fibre tube systems installed underground shall— (a) be contiguous between access points; (b) have access points appropriately located or sealed to prevent the ingress of moisture; and (c) be appropriately installed or plugged when entering a building to prevent the passage of fluid or gas into the building from any pit or access hole.
