Theme of competency based approach developed in some science textbooks in france part one: The notion of competency based approach and its crieria – school textbooks

As a first step, this work presents the principles of Competency based Approach (to be distinguished from Content-based Instruction) in teaching as well as its criteria. Next, we study some divergences between two viewpoints of Vietnamese and French authors of school textbooks. Une étude plus approfondie des critères de l’APC dans la rédaction de quelques manuels scolaires en sciences expérimentales en France (ou «sciences naturelles» au Vietnam) sera présentée dans la deuxième partie de cette publication.
