The effects of dietary fatty acids on the fatty acid composition in the phospholipid fraction of Gambusia affinis

The fatty acid composition of the phospholipid fraction was analysed by gas chromatography for fish collected from the freshwater source, which were naturally fed, and also fish fed an artificial diet with a ω6/ω3 ratio of for 30 days. The level of ω3 in the fish fed artificially for 30 days was higher than in those collected from the freshwater source. This indicates that the ω6/ω3 ratio in fish lipids is largely affected by ω6/ω3 ratio dietary lipids. Key Words: Gambusia affinis, fatty acids, feed, ω6/ω3 ratio Gambusia affinis’in Fosfolipit Fraksiyonundaki Ya¤ Asidi Bileflimine Besinsel Ya¤ Asitlerinin Etkileri Özet: Bu çal›flmada, Dicle Üniversitesi kampus alan›nda bulunan küçük bir su kayna¤›nda yaflayan, küçük bir tatl› su bal›¤› Gambusia affinis’in fosfolipit fraksiyonundaki ya¤ asidi bileflimine, besinsel ya¤ asitlerinin etkileri araflt›r›lm›flt›r. ω6/ω3 oran› olan yapay bal›k yemleri ile 30 gün boyunca beslenen ve ayr›ca bir tatl› su kayna¤›ndan toplanan bal›klar›n fosfolipit fraksiyonundaki ya¤ asitleri bileflimleri gaz kromatografisi yöntemiyle analiz edilmifltir. Otuz gün süre ile yapay bal›k yemi ile beslenen bal›klar›n fosfolipit fraksiyonundaki ω3 ya¤ asit yüzdelerinde, araziden getirilenler ile karfl›laflt›r›l›nca bir art›fl gözlenmifltir. Çal›flma sonucunda, bal›k lipitlerinin ω6/ω3 oranlar›n›n diyet lipitlerinin ω6/ω3 oran› taraf›ndan büyük bir flekilde .
