Contributions to the macrofungal diversity of Uşak Province

This study was conducted on the macrofungal specimens collected from Uşak in 2006-2009. In field and laboratory studies, 100 taxa belonging to 30 families and 2 classes were identified. Pseudoplectania sphagnophila (Pers.) Kreisel, Conocybe pulchella (Velen.) Hauskn. & Svrček, Entoloma politoflavipes Noordel. & Liiv, Entoloma saundersii (Fr.) Sacc., Entoloma serrulatum (Fr.) Hesler, Hygrophorus nemoreus (Pers.) Fr., and Rugosomyces ionides (Bull.) Bon, are new records for Turkey. Key words: Biodiversity, macrofungi, new records, Uşak, Turkey Introduction Uşak is a province located in the western part of Turkey, bordered by Denizli to the south, Kütahya to the north, Manisa to the west, and Afyonkarahisar to the east (Figure 1). The climate of Uşak Province is Mediterranean-alpine and semidry terrestrial type. The annual average temperature is °C and the annual rainfall is about 540 mm (. de/Europa/). The investigated area is a natural habitat for a number of trees and dominant forest plants, such as Pinus brutia Ten., P. nigra , P. sylvestris L., Juniperus excelsa ., J. oxycedrus L., J. foetidissima Willd., Quercus coccifera L., Q. ilex L., and Platanus orientalis L. Currently, 1827 taxa of the macrofungi of Turkey have been reported in more than 400 papers (Solak et al., 2007; Uzun et al., 2009; Sesli & Denchev, 2010; Allı, 2011; Allı et al., 2011).
