There are 3 research issues: 1) Baseline status investigation; 2) field experiments and 3) model demonstration plot establishment. Investigating results indicated that Northwest famrers’ Investment of fertilizer inputs for arabica coffee was low. Other techniques such as prunning, weeding, pest insufficient and unappropriate procedures. potential areas for coffee development in Son La were allocated in Son La City, Mai Son District, Thuan Chau District and in Dien Bien with Muong Ang, Tuan Giao, Dien Bien, Muong Nhe Districts and Dien Bien Phu City. Applying organic fertilizer for coffee would improve growth and increase yields. Applying coffee grain skin treated residues brought similar effects as applying meanure fertilizer. Applying ZnSO4 and H3BO4; combining with 250g N + 100 P2O5 + 300 K2O/ha gave the highest growth capacity and yields. Northwest should have a plan for growing areas to avoid the frog damages. Before planting, shade trees, wind preventing trees need to be planted. During planting, intercroping, mulching along side with coffee rows at the end of raining season (Septermber and October), and additional watering in the dry season with 60 litter per plant at 2 times per plant per year were cructial. In addition, Havesting time should be done when fruit ripen at 90% up. Applying above techniques would increase coffee yields, quality and growth capacity. There were 10 kinds of diseases causing
