This article develops the above-mentioned dynamical model when an automatic tension control system is installed, which allows to determinate the main requirements for the control system: The inertia of the actuator should not to be too large and the system must have warning when the towing rope length approaches the max and min limits Investigations on the above model also show that although there is an automatic tension-maintaining device, there is still a need of an elastic device to reduce the requirements for fast reaction of the actuator. | A dynamic model of two body mechanical system “an airship towed by a vessel” with automatic tension control
