Cowpea aphid (Aphis craccivora Koch) infestation accumulated phytohormone salicylic acid (SA) in leaves of soybean (Glycine max cv. Namdan) as these soybean plants were at stages R1 (beginning to bloom) and R3 (beginning pod development).
