Alocasia rivularis (Araceae) is proposed as a new species from central Vietnam. The new species is morphologically similar to those of the Cuprea Group of Alocasia, but according to results of the trnL-trnF IGS and matK sequences, and based on morphological differences, it is clearly different from the closest congeners. Phylogenetic analysis, descriptions, and illustrations are provided. | Morphological and molecular data reveal a new species of Alocasia (Araceae) from Vietnam
