The experiment consist of six growing media viz. (M1) soil (M2) soil + sand (1:1), (M3) soil + sand + vermicompost (1:1:1), (M4) soil + vermicompost (1:1), (M5) soil + sand + azotobacter (1:1+5g/ kg AZO), (M6) soil + sand + vermicompost + azotobacter (1:1:1+5g/kg AZO) and three concentration of gibberellic acid . (G1) water soaking, (G2) GA3 50 ppm, (G3) GA3 100ppm having 18 treatment combinations. Among the growing media, soil + sand + azotobacter (1:1+5g/ kg AZO) and among the seed treatment, GA3 (50ppm) were proved most promising as compare to others. Among the various treatment combinations, the M5G1 treatment combination (soil + sand + azotobacter; 1:1+5g/ kg AZO + 50ppm GA3) was proved most superior over rest of the treatment combinations with respect to early seed germination ( days), early 50% seeds germination ( days) maximum percentage of germination at 30 days( %), growth parameters like seedling height (, , cm), number of leaves per seedling (, , ), girth of stem (, , mm) and survival percentage () at 30, 60, 90 and 120 DAS respectively. | Effect of growing media and GA3 on seed germination and seedling growth of acid lime (Citrus aurantifolia Swingle) Cv.
