The present investigation was carried out to study the genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance among 137 finger millet genotypes for fifteen characters during Kharif 2018. Analysis of Variance showed significant differences for all the characters under study except for leaf width, number of panicle per plant and test weight indicating the presence of a substantial amount of genetic variability thus revealed that these genotypes have been developed from the different genetic background. On the basis of per se performance for different quantitative traits, genotype IE4734 was found to be the best genotype in Allahabad agro-climatic conditions. | Studies on genetic variability, heritability and genetic advances for quantitative characters in finger millet (Eleusine coracana (L.)
