The irrational and indiscriminate use of antibiotics has made antibiotic resistance as biggest health problem of India. Therefore, the present study was undertaken with the aim to isolate ESBL producing E. coli and Klebsiella from clinical human cases. A total of 100 urine samples of human were collected from pathology lab of Faizabad and Gorakhpur district and processed for isolation of E. coli and Klebsiella.
