Vaginitis in women can be caused by aerobic bacteria, Trichomonas vaginalis, yeast or it can be bacterial vaginosis which can lead to various gynaecological and obstetrical complications. This is a retrospective study aimed at determining the prevalence of vaginitis due to various microorganisms. A total of 500 women in the reproductive age group attending the tertiary care hospital over the last 2 years were included in the study. The vaginal swabs of these patients were subjected to Gram‟s staining & wet mount to identify , budding yeast and clue cells. | A retrospective evaluation of vaginitis in women of reproductive age group in a Tertiary care hospital in Solapur, India
