Calibration and validation are the two important processes needed to perform for physically based distributed watershed models before their use for hydrologic calculations. The present study was conducted to calibrate the SWAT model for Kunthipuzha basin using SUFI-2 algorithm in SWAT-CUP package. SUFI-2 algorithm accounts for most sources of uncertainties and it is also easy to handle. By considering these advantages and based on recommendation of many researchers, Sequential Uncertainty Fitting procedure (SUFI-2) was selected in this study for sensitivity analysis, calibration and validation of the model.
