Anaplasmosis, a tick-borne disease in dogs, caused by obligate intracellular pathogens, Anaplasma platys and Anaplasma phagocytophilum. Anaplasmosis is characterized by a variety of clinical symptoms including pyrexia as well as non-symptomatic thrombocytopenia.
