For doubling the income of the farmers, the central as well as the state governments are focusing on the possible alternatives. The various aspects such as crop diversification, crop intensification and cropping pattern can enhance the income of the farmers. Under crop intensification, the front line demonstrations on summer green gram were conducted at farmers’ field in Bathinda district to increase the income of the farmers and the productivity during the years 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19.
