One of the benefits of mungbeans is its nutritional properties. Of the seven essential micronutrients, especially iron and zinc play a vital role in human and animal health. Breeding for varieties with a potential high concentration of micronutrients should be complemented with studies of environmental effects on the accumulation of micronutrients in seeds.
