Genetic variability was studied in 60 genotypes of blackgram. The analysis of variance indicated that the mean sum of square due to genotypes were highly significant for all the characters suggesting the presence of good deal of variability in material studied. The estimates of genotypic parameters revealed that differences between the estimates of GCV and PCV were found high for most of the characters. Higher estimates of GCV were observed for seed yield per plant, number of pod per plant, cluster per plant and harvest index. | Studies on genetic variability in genotypes of blackgram [Vigna mungo (L.)
