Leptospirosis, a spirochaetal zoonotic disease, has been recognized as an important emerging infectious disease. Leptopsira spp in bovine associated with infertility, abortion and reduced milk production. Recent seroepidemiology of leptopsirosis in bovine population by various workers in India suggest the upsurge in circulating antibodies against leptospira and emergence of new serovar.
