Mushroom cultivation is an old age practice and recent advancements in the production technology has made them to cultivate under commercial scale. Among various mushrooms cultivated the shiitake mushroom (Lentinula edodes) is very well known for its medicinal values and hence its requirement in large scale production is in need.
