A survey conducted to know the socio economic profile of buffalo farmers in Guntur and Prakasam of Andhra Pradesh. A total of 144 respondents were selected through multi stage random sampling and data collected with structured interview schedule. It was observed that buffalo farming is an occupation of young respondents with no formal schooling and small land owners belonging to all communities. It contributes 1/3rd of their family income.
