The activity of dehydrogenase (µg TPF produced g-1 day-1 ) followed decreasing trend from before treatment imposition to 3 days after treatment imposition thereafter it showed increasing trend. Sulfonyl urea herbicides had the lower dehydrogenase activity immediately after herbicide application as compared to the other herbicide group’s viz., chloroacetamide, triazolepyramidine, pyramidinethiobenzole and aryloxyphenoxy propionate.
