In order to analyze combining ability for yield and some of its associated characters in late sown condition in bread wheat (Triticum aestivum . Thell), the present experiment was carried out performing diallel analysis following Griffing (1956) Method II Model I. Ten genetically diverse parents were selected and crossed in half diallel fashion excluding reciprocals. These parents were evaluated along with their 45 F1’s and 45 F2’s in a randomized block design with 3 replications. Significant differences were observed among the parents, generations, F1, F2 and parents v/s generations for all the characters except for number of tillers per plant among the parents and grain filling period for parents v/s generations. | General and specific combining ability analysis for yield and some of its associated characters in late sown condition in bread wheat Triticum aestivum .
