Microsatellites are tandemly repeating motifs of 2- 6 bp in length, found in genomes of almost all eukaryotes. Due to their properties they have become an indispensable tool for biodiversity analysis and conservation management in wild natural populations. In this current paper, we have reviewed some of the major applications of microsatellites in wildlife conservation. The present study discussed with the role microsatellites can play in management of natural populations for conservation and the difficulties that are encountered during their field application. | Nội dung Text Microsatellite markers in conservation and management of wildlife A brief perspective
