A field experiment was conducted during kharif 2016 and 2017 on Alfisols to test the impact of hydrogel application on rainfed castor. The study indicated that despite slight improvement in soil moisture content due to hydrogel amendment, it failed to bring out significant increase in growth and yield traits thus seed yield of rainfed castor.
