Khurasani (Guizotia abyssinica spp.) is considered as an important traditional minor oil seed crop in India, which is mainly cultivated in hilly and tribal areas. Though the crop has high oil content and wide range of utility, very less attention is being paid towards the judicial utilization of the crop by the growers.
