Groundnut is an important oilseed crop of India and biotic stresses cause heavy yield losses. Development of resistant cultivars is one of the important objectives of the maintenance breeding programmes of groundnut and utilization of molecular markers for identification resistant sources has become a handy tool for plant breeders.
