The objective of the present study was to access the field situation with respect to coccidia and coccidiosis in broiler chickens raised in rural Assam through a questionnaire based survey, on farm necropsy and laboratory investigation. Analysis of farm history obtained from 48 small scale broiler farms consisting of 34 integration and 14 non-integration farms managed under deep litter system revealed awareness on coccidia among farmers with occasional occurrence of the disease in their farms. | Magnitude of coccidia infection in small scale broiler chicken farms of Rural Assam India
