The contract farming amending APMC act in Karnataka and other states of India was aimed to increase the producers share and to enhance availability of quality agricultural produce to both domestic and overseas markets. The study was conducted in six districts of Karnataka state viz., Chikkaballapur, Tumkur, Davanagere, Haveri, Gadag and Bellary.
